Deployed Military Exemption
Military personnel deployed outside the continental United States in support of a qualified military operation are eligible for a property tax exemption in addition to their residence's Homestead Exemption.

Requirements
Are you a service member of:
- Any branch of the United States military or military reserves
- Coast Guard or its reserves
- The Florida National Guard
Were you deployed in any of the following operations?

- Freedom’s Sentinel
- Georgia Deployment Program
- Inherent Resolve

- Operations in the Balkans
- Pacific Eagle
- Resolute Support
- Spartan Shield
- U.S. Airstrikes Al Qaeda in Somalia

Submit Your Application
The Deployed Military Exemption form and required documentation, as well as proof of qualifying deployment (information must include dates of the qualifying deployment), must be submitted by March 1.

You can file a late property tax exemption application starting March 2 until the expiration on your August Notice of Proposed Property Taxes (TRIM Notice), which is on or before September 20. You may have to file a petition with the Value Adjustment Board; a $15 fee may be applicable.
